January Glossybox

Glossybox is a firm favourite in the beauty subscription box world. I have always loved and pretty sure I always will. I have canceled all my other boxes and just kept with this one, although rumor has it next months Birchbox is going to be amazing. Might be giving that one a go next month!

This month's box is the 'Edible Edit', not because it's full of lots of goodies you can eat but because all the products are inspired by various food aspects. So let's dive in.

Nip + Fab Kale Fix Moisturiser
Purchase here
This smells so fresh and absorbs into the skin fast without leaving a sticky film behind. I hate when moisturisers do that. This is packed full of all kinds of superfood inspired ingredients. There is kale (obviously), watercress and almond oil as well as shea butter and aloe vera concentrate. All are highly hydrating and helps protect against the winter weather. I have however passed this onto my mum. It felt lovely on the back of my hand and left it feeling so smooth but it just doesn't suit my skin type. You all know I am oily as F. So this would suit my mum's skin type more than me, I wouldn't reach for this so it would just gather dust here!

The Balm Meet Matt(e) Trimoney Single Eyeshadow
Shade: Matt Kumar
Purchase here
So this is a full size shadow which comes from The Balm's matte palette. I love matt eye shadow at the moment, it's generally what I reach for and this shade is no different. If you follow me on Snapchat you know when I tried to open is I shoved my nail right in it! This is a beautiful cranberry colour, it is so smooth and blends out like a dream. It is highly pigmented and wears for hours even without a primer, What I have been doing lately is using this on the outer V when I am going straight from work out somwhere.

Unani Il-luminate Milk Cleanser
Purchase here
This once again is packed full of natural oils which do all sorts of goodness to the skin. I have been using this to remove my makeup at night. Is it bad to admit sometimes I haven't washed my face at night this month?! I have just been so tired from work I just take my make up off and sleep. Bad Chelsey. This has been amazing, I just get a cotton round then wipe it over my whole face and it dissolved all the makeup and dirt off my face, then you just quickly rinse it off and you're done. It's quite heavily fragrance in my opinion though, but not of perfume, again it's quite fresh and clean.

Vitamasques Manuka Honey Face Mask
Purchase here
I have used a Vitamasques gel mask before, I got it in my September Glossybox and I did really enjoy using it. This one is no different, except this is a good old sheet mask. I use sheet masks at least once a week, they are so convenient as you don't need to wash the mask off just let it all sink in the skin This Korean mask has triple layer technology which apparently makes it great for absorption but I have no idea if that's true of just gimmicky. This has extracts of manuka honey which nourishes your skin, so again perfect after the harsh winter. I loved using this and my skin did feel a lot less dry although it's not dry anyway, you know what I mean though?

Absolute New York Velvet Lippie
Shade: Calypso
Purchase here
Again I have received one of this before, back in May's Glossybox. I was unsure on this the last time around and I have to admit this one I feel is better straight away. I had a few issues with the formula last time, I had shade, Lolita. This one is completely different. It glides on the lips giving an evenly and it's opaque. I didn't need to layer this one so I didn't get the thick and chunky look. I do feel the bottle is misleading, though, the colour of the actual product is so much brighter so this will be perfect for spring and summer but at the moment it is a bit too bright. The wear time for this would be better I have found after eating and drinking it did need to be reapplied but I didn't mind too much, I have to do that with most lipsticks from a tube anyway.
